GEMA FILMS

Gema Films is a Buenos Aires based production company founded in 2009 and directed by Gema Juárez Allen and Alejandra Grinschpun. We produce and coproduce films with a strong authoral voice. We make special focus on arthouse and documentary films and we work both with young and established directors, crews and artists.

Our films in development are VETERANS the first feature film of visual artist Lola Arias, RUBEN BLADES IS NOT MY NAME by Abner Benaim and MAPA MUDO by filmmakers Jorge Caballero, Nicolás Rincón and Felipe Guerrero.

Our most recent films are SOLDADO (Manuel Abramovich, Berlinale 2017) and OSCURO ANIMAL (Felipe Guerrero, IFFR 2016), ROAD LA PAZ (Francisco Varone, 2015, Busan), 327 CUADERNOS (Andres Di Tella, 2015, San Sebastian) and DAMIANA KRYYGI (Alejandro Fernandez Moujan, 2015, HotDocs)

Previous films include INVASION (Abner Benaim), VIVAN LAS ANTIPODAS! (Victor Kossakovsky, opening film Venice Film Festival 2011), CORTA (Felipe Guerrero, IFFR, 2012), EL OJO DEL TIBURON (Alejo Hoijman, CinemaXXI Competition in Roma 2012).
